What goes into a shoot?

This is a question that is frequently asked.  There is a common misconception about the amount of time that is required to produce a successful session.  Often times people innocently think that the $300 creative fee is kind of steep for two hours of work to simply photograph their pet.  In fact, a 2 hour shoot translates roughly into 12-18 hours.  This includes pre-session prep (phone calls and e-mails to makes sure I have an accurate idea of what kind of images the client has in mind), travel to and from the session, the session itself, post- processing and editing the images, archiving of the RAW files, gallery creation and delivery, creating photo books, ordering prints and products, preparing digital files, DVD's and other products that are purchased separately.  I'm not complaining... I love what I do and the service I provide.  Since it is a frequently asked question I though I would try and shed some light.  I hope this helps!  

Standard Shoot $300. 

This includes:

  • Photographers time and talent 
  • Up to 2 hours shooting time
  • Up to 2 pets (of the same household).  $50 for each additional pet.
  • up to two locations of your choice
  • an exclusive sneak peek on my Facebook page
  • Travel within 35 miles of 94025.  (Longer travel distances may be subject to an additional fee)
  • 14-day private online gallery of 50 of the best (edited) session images for you to view

**50% of the session fee is due at the time of booking to hold the date**

 

“A year in a life of a puppy” Package – $975 (session fee included)

This includes:

  • 3 separate 1.5 hour sessions, spread out over the 1st year of your puppies life (can be at the same or different location for each shoot)
  • One puppy (please contact me directly if you have two or more puppies)
  • A private online gallery of 50 of the best images from EACH of the 3 sessions
  • A box of 4X6 proofs of all session images
  • a soft cover photo book (5x5 or 8x8) with 50 images
  • 25% off any other A la Carte products

“Always Remembered” Packaged – $250 (session fee included)

When we love a pet with all of our heart and soul, we can become saddened by the reality of just how short their lives truly are. Saying good-bye to a beloved pet is a heartbreaking, horrible time, and can be made worse by the realization that we really don’t have any good photos to remember them by. It is for this reason that I offer a very special photo session for terminally ill pets. These intimate sessions will be given priority, and, in most cases, can be scheduled within 24-48 hours.   • 1 hr session at 1 location
  • Private gallery of 30 edited images
  • 20% off an Al a carte products

 Mini-shoot: $150

These are abbreviated shoots at a location of my choice.
